A memorial of one indented deed of surrender dated 3rd eb 1713 made between William Despard of Crana in the Queen’s Co Esq. George Gahan ….[long list of names and places ]….Rice Meredith of Rerymore in the said Queen’s Co Farmer ….. which said deed they the said [all the names repeated again] did severally and respectively grant, alien, surrender and give up unto the said Charles Earl of Mountrath his heirs and assigns the several Towns Lands Tenements and Hereditaints[?] herein aforementioned that is to say the house …[list of places]… the town and lands of Castlecuff and the small island in the Bogg which is part of the said lands of Rerymore, Clonegark, Coolickenowell and Aghaney … they or any of them hold by virtue of any lease for lives made by the said Charles Earl of Mountrath or by his late father Charles Earl of Mountrath deceased and all their respective estates rights titles and interests therein to hold to the said Charles Earl of Mountrath his heirs and assigns to his and their proper use and xxxx, in which deed there is a proviso for a making void the same upon the said Earls failing to pay the sum of £1500 to every of the aforesaid Grantors on the feast of St. Michael next ensuing ……..
