India from 1845 for thirteen years, in the Bombay Presidency. He was received into the Church of Rome in 1859. The ceremony took place in the fort chapel, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and was performed by the Righ Rev. Bishop Canoz, assisted by the Vicar-General and Chaplain of the fort.
