An analysis of the Family Finder results for project members is presented in the spreadsheet below. The first two columns list the matches between members that have been found by Family Finder, with each member being identified by their initials. The columns to the right then show:

- the relationship predicted by Family Finder for that match;

- the relationship range predicted by Family Finder;

- the known relationship from genealogical research;

- whether the known relationship falls within the range predicted by Family Finder;

- the lines of descent for the project members, with abbreviations for the lines shown in the Descendancy Chart.

The spreadsheet also presents two tables:

- Table 1 shows statistics for the known relationships of various degrees, from parent-child to 4th cousin once removed;  

- Table 2 addresses the question of how often the predicted relationship ranges are correct when the actual relationship is known.

Note: the spreadsheet may be slow to load.   It is large and will be partially displayed in the browser window.  To scroll it to the left/right or up/down using the mouse, first place the mouse pointer inside the box.  Alternatively, click on a cell and use the cursor keys.
