A network chart is a useful way of showing how the members of our Family Finder project are connected.   In the graphic below, the project members are ‘nodes’ and lines connect them with other members with whom they have matches in Family Finder.  It is not meant to be read in detail as a way of identifying the members with whom a person matches; the Results Matrix should be used for that purpose.   Instead, it is meant to give an overview of the ‘connectedness’ between members.   The more connected that a sub-group of members  is, then the closer together they will cluster on the diagram.  Also, the larger the sub-group, then the more the effect of ‘false negatives’ for a particular individual will be averaged out within that sub-group.
