1: A Memorial of an Indented Deed of Lease bearing date the Thirty
2: first day of December one thous[an]d seven hundred and fifty one made between
3: The R[igh]t Hon[oura]ble Diana Countess Dowager of Mountrath widow & relict of
4: The R[igh]t Hon[oura]ble Algernon late Earl of Mountrath dece[ase]d of the one part &
5: Tho[ma]s Meredith of Rerymore in the Queens County in the Kingdom of Ireland
6: Farmer of the other part whereby the s[ai]d Diana Countess Dowager of
7: Mountrath for the Consid[eratio]n therein ment[ione]d did Demise Grant set and
8: to farm Let unto the S[ai]d Tho[ma]s Meredith all that and those the farm and
9: Lands of Rerymore Situate lying and being in the Barony of Tinnehinch
10: and Queens County Containing by Estimation three hundred and
11: Twenty acres one Rood & Twenty Perches of Arable Land meadow
12: and pasture (in w[hi]ch are included forty five acres & three roods of Land
13: which was sanded by the flood before the new Canal was made and
14: fifty acres and three Roods of Land in underwood & coppice) fifty two
15: acres three Roods of woodland Sixty five acres and three Roods of Improveable
16: pastureable bogg seventy two acres one Rood sixteen Perches of Red boggs and
17: one thous[an]d one hundred and fifty six acres of Great Redbogg all Plantation measure
18: be the same more or less as the same are laid down and Described in and by a mapp
19: or Terrcart thereunto annexed together w[i]th all & singular the Rights members &
20: Appur[tenance]s to the s[ai]d Prem[is]es belonging or in any wise appertaining (Excepting and
21: Reserving as therein is Excepted and reserved) To hold the s[ai]d Demised
22: prem[is]es w[i]th the appur[tenance]s (Except as therein before Excepted) unto the s[ai]d Thomas
23: Meredith his Ex[ecut]ors Adm[inistrat]ers & ass[ign]es from the first day of Nov[embe]r then last
24: past before the date thereof for and during the Term of ninety nine years
25: if She the S[ai]d Diana Countess Dowager of Mountrath Shall so long
26: Live and the woods on the prem[is]es shall so long Continue unsold or
27: uncutt and not otherwise which s[ai]d Deed and this mem[oria]l are witnessed by Francis
28: Evans of the City of Dublin Gent and by Hugh Neill of s[ai]d City writing Cl[er]ke[?]
29: Tho[ma]s Meredith seal - Signed Sealed and Deliv[ere]d In presence of us Fra[nci]s Evans
30: Hugh Neill – The above named Hugh Neill Came this day before me and made
31: oath that he is a subscribing witness to and saw the Deed of which the above write-
32: -ing is a mem[oria]l duly Executed by the Rev[eren]d John Jackson of Clonsough in the County
33: of Dublin Cl[er]ke[?] by virtue of a Letter of Attorney from the above named Diana
34: Countess Dowager of Mountrath and by the above named Tho[ma]s Meredith and also
35: saw the above mem[oria]l duly Executed by the s[ai]d Tho[ma]s Meredith and that the name
36: Hugh Neill thereto subscribed as a witness is this Dep[onen]ts name & proper handwriting
37: and that he Delivered the Same to Mr James Saunders Deputy Reg[istra]r on Wednesday the
38: 22d day of Jan[ua]ry 1752 at or near Eleven of the Clock in the forenoon of s[ai]d Day –
