A Memorial of an indented Deed of lease bearing date the fifteenth day of April
one thousand and eight hundred and seventy six and made William Meredith of
Rosnegad [sic] in the Queen’s County farmer of the one part and Samuel Meredith
of Rosnegad in the Queen’s County farmer of the other part Whereby it was
witnessed that the said William Meredith for the considerations therein
mentioned did demise grant set and to farm let [??] unto the said Samuel
Meredith his heirs and assigns All that and those that part of the Lands of
Rosnegad containing thirty nine acres three roods and twenty seven perches of
arable and pasture lands late Irish plantation measure lately in the possession
of the lessor be the same more or less together with thirty acres of the bog of
Rosnegad thereabouts be the same more or less of the said late Irish plantation
measure which said demised premises are all situate in the parish of Clonenagh
Barony of Mayborough West and Queen’s County. To Hold the said lands and
premises with the appurtenances unto the said Samuel Meredith his heirs and
assigns from the twenty fifth day of March then last past for and during the
natural life of William Meredith the lessor and Richard Meredith son of the said
lessor and the survivor of them in saild lease mentioned at under and subject to
the yearly rent covenants conditions and agreements in said lease mentioned and
contaned and the Execution of said Lease and this Memorial by the said William
Meredith are respectively witnessed by John Meredith of Strahard farmer and John
Alexander Fitzgerald of Mountmellick Solicitor both in the Queen’s County
William Meredith Seal signed and Sealed in presence of [xxx] the said William
