Biography

William Meredith was born on 29 Aug 1785 in London. He was baptised on 18 Sep 1785 in St Ethelburga's, London. He and Elizabeth Thompson were married in 1813. He died on 14 Jul 1863, at age 77, in Graham's Terrace, Cobh.1 He was buried in Old Church Cemetery, Cobh.
He was the son of William Crispin Meredith and Penninah Cadman. He joined the Royal Navy and was promoted to Paymaster. He was sent to Queenstown and served on the flagship of Sir Benjamin Hallowell Carew.

William Lambert Meredith was born in 1814. He and Susanna Lloyd were married on 9 Aug 1843 in Youghal Church. He died aft. 1847.
He was the Resident Surgeon at the South Infirmary, Cork, and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons. His date of death is unknown; he was alive in 1847 and it is thought he died ca. 1850 of Cholera.

Susanna Lloyd

Biography

Susanna Lloyd was born in 1823. She and William Lambert Meredith were married on 9 Aug 1843 in Youghal Church. She died on 18 Dec 1901, at age ~78, in Woburn Hill, Addlestone.
She was the eldest of four daughters of the governor of Cork County Gaol and a well-known Victorian philanthropist. She went with her mother and sister, Mary Anne Lloyd, to live in London after her husband and father died. She joined the governing body of the London Free Hospital and in 1865 she set up the London Prison Mission. Hee sister wrote a biography: "Susanna Meredith: A Record of a Vigorous Life."
