Biography

Rev. John BLENNERHASSETT was born on 3 Mar 1803 in Elm Grove, Ballyseedy, Co. Kerry.³ He died on 5 Sep 1890, at age 87.

He was ordained as an Anglican priest in 1826. He ministered at Ryme Intrinseca in Dorset, first as Curate (1830-1832) then for 58 years (1832-1890) as Rector. He was also Vicar for the village of Hermitage, Dorset 1834-1885. He married Elizabeth Houssemayne du Boulay (1814-1904), the twin sister of his elder brother William’s wife Emma.⁴
