He entered Trinity College Dublin on 10 Feb. 1771, aged 17, in Queen's Co. the son of Joseph, a Farmer, having been educated by Mr Hackett. He received a B.A. in 1775.
His death was announced in the 31st August 1822 edition of the Dublin Weekly Register:
"In Mountmellick, in his 66th year, the Rev. John Baldwin, Curate of that town nearly 50 years, Vicar of Kilkenny, and one of the oldest Magistrates in the Queen's County."1

Rev. John BALDWIN was born ca. 1781. He died in Dec 1859, at age ~78.
He entered Trinity College Dublin on 3 July 1797, aged 16, born in Queen's Co. the son of Rev. John Baldwin, having been educated by Mr Ash. He received a B.A. in 1802.
He was Rector of Clonaslee.
His appointment as a Magistrate was announced in the 1st Feb 1823 edition of Freemans Journal:
"The Lord Chancellor has been pleased to appoint the Rev. John Baldwin, of Castle Cuffe, a Justice of the Peace and Quorum for the Queen's County"
He officiated at the wedding of his niece Charlotte Alicia Meredith to Henry Howard at Clonaslee Church on 12 May 1840 (announced in the Dublin Evening Mail edition of 18 May 1840).1
He was Rector of Clonaslee.
