Georgina Mabel Meredith was born on 27 Dec 1875 in Onandaga tp, Brant county, Ontario. She and William McLeod were married ca. 1897 in Ontario.
Ontario birth registration #201112 (reg'd 1876) spelled name Miridith. In 1901 her birth date is said to be 27 Oct 1876; in 1911 census her name is given as Georgina Mabel. She is said to be married, rather than widowed, but she and her 2 children were enumerated in her parents' home in Stratford--they may have been visiting. Her birth year at that time was said to be 1877. In 1930 (Port Huron, MI) Mabel is said to be 53 and to have married at the age of 20. She immigrated to the USA in 1910.

The Tithes Applotments show James "Merideth" occupying 4 acres of 2nd and 3rd class land in Redcastle in 1829. Griffiths Valuation records show both James Sr and James Jr in Redcastle. It must have been James Sr. who was there in 1829.
