Elizabeth Flanagan was the daughter of Charles Flanagan and Catherine Carrin. She was living at Harold’s Cross at the time of her marriage.

She arrived on 6 Jun 1883 in New York on the ship Wyoming with her three children; the family was recorded on the passenger list as Lizzie 28 Kate 6 Thomas 4 Rebecca 2.

In 1900 Elizabeth had given birth to 11 children, 8 of whom were still living. Only 7 were living with Thomas and Elizabeth for that census, suggesting one had already left home. That would have been Catherine/Kate, who had married by then.⁷

In 1900 Rebecca was listed on the Brooklyn census with her parents but was said to be "living out." She is also listed as a servant/housekeeper in the household of Harman Brown and his family in Brooklyn. ?Rebecca arrived in the USA in 1883, as did her mother. In 1910 Rebecca and John were married and were employed as servant and butler in the household of Wm and Isabel Smith in Brooklyn. They had been married for 2 years. Rebecca was the enumerator for her district in the 1920 census, dated January 9; at that time she recorded her husband John's age correctly as 38, but her own as 36--she was actually 39. They were living on Odlum Place, Brooklyn. SSDI dates are 26 November 1881 - June 1972. Her nephew, James Dunn, 19, was also living in the household in 1920.?Cemetery record lists her name as Rebecca Mary Power, age 91.
