“MEREDITH, MARION - 1919-2013 - Marion Meredith passed away July 26 at the Moncton Hospital after a short illness. Born in Inverness, NS, she was the daughter of Alexander and Mary (Campbell) Ross. Marion was married to Gilbert C. Meredith for 55 years. She was a homemaker most of her life and a registered nurse by trade. Marion was a voracious reader, consuming the daily paper, a novel a week and crossword puzzles and had an excellent grasp of current affairs. Marion had a great sense of humour. Marion will be missed by her family: daughter, Mary (late Gary) Worth and children, Joanne (Justin) Day and Benjamin (Angela) Worth; son, Gilbert (Judy) and children, Susan, Peter and Kathryn; daughter-in-law, Anne (late Bruce) and children, Kyra and Grace; great-grandsons, Nathan and Evan Day; sister, Jean (Fred) Brown; niece, Judith (Jim) Hartlen; and other nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Bruce; son-in-law, Gary; siblings, Alec, Margaret, Walter, Janet, Donald, Isabel and Douglas. By her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family will hold a private interment service. The family would like to thank Dr. C. Gallant. Beloved husband and best friend of Anne (nee McLean) and proud father, of Kyra and Grace. Loving son, of Marion and the late Gilbert Meredith, Moncton, NB. Dear brother, of Mary (Gary Worth), Burnaby, BC and Gilbert (Judy), Riverview, NB. Son-in-law of Joyce McLean and brother-in-law of Donald McLean (Michelle), Courtice, ON and Tammy Mason (Darren), Whitby, ON. Dear uncle to Joanne, Benjamin, Susan, Peter, Kathryn, Melanie, Kirstyn, Hilary, Kurtis and Lauren. Special cousin of John and Jim Kilpatrick, Pickering Village, ON. Bruce and Anne married after graduating from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. They recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary. Bruce was a speech language pathologist working at the Rotary Children's place in Sarnia, ON and more recently at Grandview Children's Centre in Oshawa, ON. Bruce's passions were music, Scrabble, table hockey, family and friends. He will be fondly remembered for those things as well as for his gracious, giving personality and his positive attitude toward every aspect of his life. A tribute of music and song will be held on Sunday November 4, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Faith United Church, Courtice, ON, with a reception to follow for time of fellowship and refreshments.
