The only evidence for this son of Charles and Anne Amelia Meredith is from the marriage announcement of their son Richard, who was described as their second son. He was most likely to have been born in Ireland or Portugal, as the 2nd son Richard was born in July 1829 just 7 months after Charles and Anne Amelia arrived in Australia with the 63rd Regiment.
