Hill Wilson White was born on 12 Jun 1885 in New Zealand.^2,3 He died on 12 Apr 1918, at age 32, in the vicinity of Vieux Berquin.³

He was a captain in the R.A.M.C. in WW1 and was killed in action.. He is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Panel 11. Belgium.

His death was announced in the Monday, Dec. 2, 1918 edition of The Times, transcribed as follows:

"CAPTAIN HILL WILSON WHITE, R.A.M.C., fourth son of the Dean of Christ Church, Dublin, is now officially reported as presumed to have been killed on April 12 last. He joined the Army in August, 1914, and served in England, France, and Belgium. He was wounded at Ypres in December, 1915, but was able after a few months to return to duty. In the early months of this year, he was in medical charge of a reinforcement camp, and was dispatched with a battalion to meet an almost overwhelming advance by the enemy. Gerald John Davis White was born on 17 Jul 1896 in Dublin, IrelandG.^1,2 He was baptised on 12 Aug 1896 in Rathmines Parish ChurchG.¹ He died on 5 Jul 1916, at age 19, in the vicinity of Mametz Wood.³

He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Irish Fusiliers in WW1. He was killed in action on 5 Jul 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

His death was announced in the Saturday, July 22, 1916 edition of The Times, transcribed as follows:

"SECOND LIEUTENANT GERALD JOHN DAVIS WHITE, Royal Irish Regiment, killed on July 6 while gallantly Ieading his platoon against a strong position, was the youngest surviving son of the Rev. Chancellor H. V. White, vicar of St. Bartholomew's, Dublin. He joined the Royal Irish Regiment last August, after passing with credit through Sandhurst. He went to the front in March last. His colonel writes of him as a "very brave 'soldier." His brother, Captain H. W. White, R.A.M.C., was wounded at Ypres last December, and another brother, H. Vere White, is a captain in A.S.C."
