Robert James Anderson was born in 1885.2 He and Sarah Florence Meredith were married on 24 Sep 1912 in Waterford Presbyterian Church.3 He died on 16 Jun 1938, at age ~53, in Buchan Ness, Castle Park Road, Dalkey.3 He was buried in Dean’s Grange CemeteryG.4
Robert James Anderson was a Salesman at the time of his marriage, and later a Managing Director of a Limited Company. He was the son of Benjamin Kerr Anderson, a Carpet Warehouseman.

His obituary in the Irish Independent was as follows:
“Passing of a Popular Figure
Mr. Robert Anderson
The death occurred last night at his residence at Castle Park Road, Sandycove, of Mr. Robert James Anderson, managing director, Messrs. Anderson, Stanford and Ridgeway, Dawson Street, Dublin.
Mr Anderson was in business for nearly 40 years. He was a well-known and popular figure in the business life of Dublin.
He took a keen interest in hockey. He played for Dalkey for years. On retiring from active play he was honoured by being chosen as a Leinster selector. He had also acted as an Irish selector.
Mr Anderson leaves a widow and two sons.”.5
